Standard installation

What the base price is designed to cover.

The base rate applies when the technician can complete one straightforward installation at a suitable, safely accessible location using a practical cable route and compatible hardware available for the job.

01

On-site installation planning

The technician reviews sky visibility, safe mounting options, cable entry, router placement and the practical path through the property before permanent work begins.

02

Mounting and cable routing

The base scope generally includes mounting labour for one standard installation condition, a practical route using the customer’s Starlink cable, and one standard wall penetration with weather sealing where required.

03

Activation and basic verification

The technician places and connects the router, supports activation of the customer’s equipment, and performs basic connection verification before documenting the completed installation.

Important: the Starlink kit, Starlink monthly service, specialty mounting hardware, network equipment and enhanced-install materials are not included in the base installation price unless they appear as separate Get Internet charges.
What can increase the price

Some properties need more than a standard install.

Rural and cottage properties often have conditions that cannot be accurately priced from a postal code alone. The final plan can depend on tree lines, roof geometry, building construction, cable distance, access and where Wi-Fi is actually needed.

+Ground or lawn pole, mast, tripod or specialty mounting hardware
+Difficult, elevated or restricted access beyond a standard safe installation condition
+Extended, concealed, complex or unusually difficult cable routing
+Additional weatherproofing, materials or property-specific mounting work
+Mesh Wi-Fi, network improvements, accessories or additional labour
Approval before extra work

No unapproved enhanced-work surprise.

If the property requires chargeable work outside the base installation, Get Internet identifies the added scope and price before that work proceeds. Optional or enhanced work is not treated as approved simply because it might improve the installation.

When a detailed site condition cannot be confirmed until the technician arrives, the customer can approve or decline the additional scope before it is added to the account.

Cost planning

Prepare the property before installation day.

Good preparation reduces avoidable delays and gives the technician better information before the permanent mount and cable route are selected.

1

Confirm the complete kit is available

Have the Starlink dish, router, power equipment, cable and included components indoors and accessible. Hardware purchases and returns remain subject to the retailer or Starlink terms.

2

Run a safe obstruction check

Use the official Starlink app from a safe ground-level position. Do not climb onto a roof or ladder. Send useful roofline, tree-line or yard photos if requested.

3

Make access and decisions possible

Ensure an adult who can approve the mounting location and any additional quoted work is available. Disclose known hazards, access restrictions and building conditions before the appointment.

Ground-pole installations: Get Internet technicians do not trench or bury the Starlink cable. The customer is responsible for underground routing, conduit, utility locates, permits and related work when required.
Service after installation

Existing system? Service calls have their own rate.

A basic Starlink service call is $149.99 + HST and includes up to one hour of technician labour. Parts, accessories, additional labour and enhanced work are separate when required.

Pricing questions

Starlink installation cost FAQ.

The final scope is based on the actual property, but these answers explain the normal pricing structure.

Is $289.99 the total price?

$289.99 is the base subtotal. Ontario HST brings the base installation total to $327.69. Approved specialty hardware, accessories, enhanced work or additional labour are separate.

Does the installation price include the Starlink kit?

No. The customer purchases and owns the compatible Starlink equipment and maintains the Starlink service account. Get Internet provides independent professional installation and related field services.

Can I know the exact enhanced-work price before the technician arrives?

Often, yes, when photographs and property details clearly show the required scope. Some roof, access or cable-route conditions can only be confirmed safely on site. Any additional chargeable work is identified before it proceeds.

Do you charge for an obstruction check?

The public guide helps customers perform a preliminary check with the official Starlink app. The technician still evaluates the practical mounting location and installation conditions as part of the approved job.

Is there a workmanship warranty?

Get Internet provides a 30-day warranty on its installation workmanship. It does not replace equipment, retailer or Starlink service warranties and does not cover new obstructions, customer alterations or unrelated equipment/service failures.

Is payment required before booking?

The base installation total, including HST, must be paid before an installation appointment can be selected in the Client Portal. Additional approved job charges must be paid under the terms shown for those charges.
