Know what is included before installation day.
The base installation covers a straightforward professional Starlink installation. Site-specific hardware and enhanced work are identified and approved separately when required.
Professional Starlink Installation Policy
Last updated: August 21, 2026 · Policy version 2026-08-21-v2.69.4
Base professional installation — $289.99 + HST ($327.69 total)
The $289.99 + HST base price is for a standard Starlink system installation at a suitable, safely accessible installation location. It generally includes installation planning at the property, mounting labour for one standard installation condition using compatible hardware available for the job, a standard cable route using the customer's Starlink cable where practical, one standard wall penetration with weather sealing where required, router placement/activation and basic connection verification.
Starlink hardware, internet service, specialty mounting hardware and enhanced-install materials are not included in the $289.99 + HST base price unless specifically shown as a separate Get Internet charge.
Enhanced installations and approval of additional work
Some properties require work beyond the base installation. Examples include a ground/lawn pole, roof tripod or mast, specialty mount, difficult or elevated access, extended/difficult/concealed cable routing, additional weatherproofing/materials, Wi-Fi/mesh/networking work, or other non-standard conditions. Get Internet will identify the additional scope and price before the additional chargeable work proceeds. Additional work is not considered approved merely because it might be useful at the property.
Ground/lawn pole cable burial
Get Internet technicians do not trench or bury Starlink cable. If a ground/lawn pole installation requires underground routing, the customer is responsible for arranging and completing the burial/conduit and any required utility locates, permits or related work. Where practical, the technician can position the cable so the customer can complete the underground portion afterward.
Customer-supplied equipment
The customer is responsible for obtaining a compatible Starlink kit and maintaining the applicable Starlink account/service plan. Get Internet may recommend retailers and compatible accessories, but third-party purchases, returns, equipment warranties and Starlink subscription issues remain subject to the applicable provider/seller terms.
Appointment preparation
Please have the complete Starlink kit accessible indoors when the technician arrives and ensure an adult with authority to approve the installation location and any additional quoted work is available. Provide reasonable access to the installation area and disclose known conditions that could affect safety or scope. Customers are not required to access the roof, climb a ladder or perform elevated work before or during the appointment.
Line-of-sight check and $75 call-out fee
Before paying for and booking an installation, the customer is responsible for using the Starlink app's Check for Obstructions tool to assess the intended installation area for a suitable view of the sky. Customers must not climb onto roofs or ladders to perform this check. If a technician attends the booked property and the installation cannot proceed because no suitable line of sight is reasonably available or the site was not reasonably ready for the agreed installation, Get Internet will retain $75 from the prepaid installation amount as a non-refundable call-out fee. This is a retained portion of the prepaid installation amount, not an additional $75 charge on top of that prepaid amount. This customer-readiness fee does not apply when Get Internet itself postpones the work solely because of weather, technician safety, or another condition for which this policy says the appointment will be rescheduled without a customer fee.
Arrival windows and scheduling
Portal bookings use arrival windows rather than exact guaranteed arrival times. New appointments require at least two business days of notice. The booking engine may limit certain longer jobs to earlier arrival windows and may restrict appointments based on technician skills, service radius, route capacity and qualifying weekly technician availability.
Rescheduling and customer cancellations
Please contact Get Internet as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. A customer-requested reschedule is subject to the next qualifying technician availability. Get Internet does not impose an automatic no-show or cancellation fee under this policy unless a specific fee is separately disclosed to and accepted by the customer before it is charged.
If prepaid Get Internet labour/service is cancelled before that service is performed, any refund or retained amount will reflect work already performed, specifically approved/non-returnable materials or costs, and rights required by applicable law. If Get Internet is unable to provide prepaid work and no acceptable reschedule is arranged, the unperformed Get Internet service amount will be refunded as required by applicable law. Third-party purchases remain subject to the third party's own cancellation/return policy.
When a Get Internet refund is approved and processed, please allow 2–5 business days for the funds to return to the original payment method. Processing time may vary slightly by financial institution.
Weather, unsafe conditions and access problems
Safety takes priority over schedule. Severe weather, unsafe roof/ladder conditions, structural concerns, blocked or unsuitable access, hazardous conditions or circumstances outside reasonable control may require all or part of the job to be postponed or changed. If Get Internet postpones work for safety/weather reasons, the appointment will be rescheduled without an automatic cancellation/no-show fee. If the site is inaccessible or not reasonably ready when the technician arrives, the job may need to be rescheduled and any future charge must be separately disclosed/accepted before it is added.
Service-address changes after booking
The appointment is booked against the service address/coordinates recorded at booking. A material change of installation location after booking can change technician territory, routing and availability. An active appointment therefore may need to be cancelled and the new address requalified before a replacement appointment can be selected.
Ontario HST
For Ontario work, Get Internet installation, service-call, accessory and enhanced-install charges are subject to 13% HST. The Client Portal shows the applicable tax and total payable amount for each Get Internet charge.
Payment and completion
The base installation total, including HST, must be paid before an installation appointment can be selected. Optional accessories may be added before or after the base payment. Additional approved products or enhanced-install services added to the job must be paid before the installation is marked complete. Purchases added after a completed installation must be paid before fulfillment unless Get Internet expressly agrees otherwise.
The normal completion workflow requires the applicable Get Internet account balance to be paid and, for an installation, the technician's protected completion photograph to be on file. A manager-only override may be used only as an exception and requires a written reason that is recorded in the audit trail.
Service calls
A basic Starlink service call is $149.99 + HST ($169.49 total) and includes up to one hour of technician labour. Parts, accessories, enhanced work and additional labour are separate when required. The service-call total must be paid before an appointment can be selected, and any additional approved Get Internet charges must be paid according to the charge terms shown in the Client Portal.
Completion photograph
For completed installation work, the assigned technician may take a photograph of the finished installation for job documentation, quality control, future service and warranty support. The protected-photo system stores these photographs outside the normal Media Library workflow rather than publishing them as ordinary public uploads. Access is limited as described in the Privacy Policy.
30-day workmanship warranty
Get Internet provides a 30-day installation workmanship warranty from the installation date. It covers correction of issues caused by Get Internet installation workmanship. It does not replace or extend Starlink/manufacturer/retailer warranties and does not cover equipment failure, Starlink network/service performance, customer alterations, damage caused by others, vegetation growth/new obstructions, severe weather, building/structural conditions outside the installation work, or issues unrelated to Get Internet workmanship. Nothing in this warranty limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited.
