Before we choose the mount
Scan your sky with the official Starlink app.
Starlink’s obstruction checker uses your phone camera to scan the field of view from a potential dish location. It is one of the best things you can do before installation — especially around tall trees, roof peaks, chimneys and nearby buildings.

2Open Find an Install Location / Check for Obstructions.
3Stand as close as safely possible to the proposed dish height and scan the sky.
Do not climb onto a roof or ladder to perform the scan. If the ideal mounting area cannot be checked safely from the ground, leave that part to the Get Internet installer.

Mount + structure plan
Select an appropriate permanent mount and attachment location based on the structure and exposure.
STEP 04
Cable entry + routing
Plan a clean exterior run, protect penetrations and route the system indoors with as little visual clutter as practical.
STEP 05
Router positioning
Choose an indoor location that balances cable reality with Wi‑Fi coverage instead of defaulting to the nearest corner.
STEP 06
Activation + testing
Bring the terminal online, verify app status and test the customer experience after the installation is complete.

Useful ground-level property details can reduce uncertainty before dispatch: roofline, tree line, preferred router room, cable-entry conditions and the current equipment at the property.
Do not climb onto a roof or ladder for photographs or an obstruction scan. Provide only information that can be gathered safely from the ground; the technician assesses elevated conditions at the property.
Clear pricing
What $289.99 + HST means.
$289.99 + HST is the base installation price for the Starlink system itself. Every property is different. If the approved location requires a lawn/ground pole, specialty mount, extended or difficult cable routing, difficult access, Wi‑Fi/networking work or another non-standard item, that work/material is quoted separately.
Additional site charges can be added to the customer account and must be paid according to the invoice terms, including before the technician leaves site where identified as an on-site balance. Ground-pole installations: Get Internet technicians do not trench or bury the Starlink cable. Any underground cable burial/conduit is the customer’s responsibility.
